About Me
My name is Ursula James an I am regarded as one of the leading hypnotherapy practitioners and teachers in the UK, lecturing at 11 medical schools including Oxford and Cambridge.
In addition, I am currently a Visiting Teaching Fellow at Oxford University Medical School and Honorary Lecturer at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry.
I am also proud to be a Patron of Anxiety UK and also the National Centre of Domestic Violence, as well as Chair of the Medical School Hypnosis Association.
Furthermore, I am actively involved in research into the effects of altered states of consciousness as I am currently conducting PhD research in the fields of biomedical science and psychology.
Author of four books and presenter of Sex, Lies and Hypnosis for Channel 5, I am now launching my new book in March 2011, The Source: A Manual of Everyday Magic.This is a complete departure for me, a very personal book, and - I know - an interesting ride for those who read it...
